1:00 – 5:30 Practical Application

Instructor, Ric Lager

1:00     Set up a Dorsey Wright Portfolio. So that the entire class is on the same page and can compare results, you will set up two different portfolios. These are for practice only, but are the kind of portfolios you will be very familiar with.

1:15     Add your new portfolio to the Dorsey Wright Matrix tool. Once added to the Matrix, it can take a few minutes for the computer to calculate. While it’s calculating, you get to do it again. (Practice makes perfect, right?)

1:30     Repeat the set up of a Dorsey Wright Portfolio and add the portfolio to the Dorsey Wright Matrix tool steps.

1:45     Review and Questions about the Dorsey Wright Portfolio tool. You will understand how to analyze both client and prospect portfolios. This creates the first of your selling documents. These reports cover stock, mutual fund, and ETF positions.

2:00     Dorsey Wright Relative Strength Matrix Tools. Here you get the second tool to analyze client and prospect stock, mutual fund, and ETF positions.

2:30     Dynamic Asset Level Investing-D.A.L.I. Here you get your stock market tactical asset allocation game plan.

3:00     Break

Dorsey Wright ETF tab. Review and tour of the ETF tab. You will be able to figure out how to drill down and pick your own ETF positions.

Dorsey Wright Mutual Fund tab. Learn to analyze mutual funds and selections. Very important for helping clients stuck in sub-account menus.

Review and Questions of Dorsey Wright ETF and Mutual Fund tabs.

Daily Routine. This is a checklist of activities you will implement when you get back to your office. But before you leave, you will follow each step using the portfolios you entered. You will decide whether you are offensive or defensive, and if so, what to buy and sell in the two sample portfolios you created.

Client and Prospect Conversation. Here Ric will demonstrate what to say to a client and a prospect. We will assume one of the portfolios you entered belongs to a client, and the other to a prospect. We will further assume that your client portfolio was down 40% in 2008. How do you explain it?  And how do you talk to the prospect?

Educating the Client:

Most of the people attending “No More Pies!” will have sipped the MPT Kool-aid®. Your clients will have experienced devastating losses requiring years to recover. Some will adopt the new strategy on your say-so. Others will require re-education.

In this session, Jack will present his 60-slide presentation. You will receive this slide show.

After Day 2

Instructor: Bill Good
Managing the Educational Process

Let’s assume you have a few hundred clients. You will need to keep track of who has been invited to an educational seminar, who has not, who bought in, and who did not. This has to be done thoroughly, carefully, and fast. Bill will show you how.

This portion of your training will be scheduled within two weeks. Your entire team is urged to attend
